'By the Angel, Magnus was going to be furious,' I thought as the mundane officer lowered my head into his vehicle.

"Where did you say your parents lived, kid?" He grumbled from the front seat. I shifted my weight, attempting to adjust the position of my cuffed wrists.

"Um, I live with my boyfriend, actually," I stammered, then listed off the address for his penthouse in Brooklyn. Of course I couldn't say the Institute.
